Las imagenes de los puntos verdes




Los puntos verdes son parte indispensable para los grupos locales y para Greenpeace, en ellos se da difusion a las campañas, a sus avances y se tiene contacto directo con la gente para establecer diálogos que ayuden a que se informen sobre lo que hace Grenpeace y lo que pueden hacer cada uno de nosotros para mejorar nuestra relación con el medio ambiente y entre nosotros mismos.

El Girasol estuvo presente en la Fundación para la Protección de la Niñez, I.A.P. donde se les enseñó a los más peques que son las energías renovables, por que es bueno dejar de usar carbón para generar electricidad y la importancia del cuidado de nuestro planeta. Junto con el amigo favorito de Greenpeace, Celsius, los niños aprendieron y dejaron su mensaje y manitas en nuestra manta para después pasar a la demostración del uso de la energía solar y disfrutar de ricos raspados hechos con aparatos electricos alimentados con nuestro camión solar.












Greenpeace bloquea decenas de gasolineras de BP en Londres


Londres. Manifestantes de la organización ecologista Greenpeace bloquearon este martes unas 50 gasolineras de BP en el centro de Londres, en protesta por el derrame de petróleo en el Golfo de México.

Greenpeace y BP dijeron que los activistas detuvieron el flujo de combustible activando interruptores de seguridad en las playas de las gasolineras y luego retirándolos para evitar que las estaciones volvieran a reabrir.

Las protestas coincidieron con los resultados del segundo trimestre de BP. La compañía reportó una pérdida de 17 mil millones de dólares y dijo que había establecido una previsión de 32 mil millones para solventar los gastos del derrame.

Greenpeace dijo que sus activistas habían podido clausurar 47 estaciones de servicio en la capital inglesa. BP confirmó que 35 se vieron forzadas a cerrar temporalmente, pero que la mitad de ese número había vuelto a funcionar y vendían combustible con normalidad.

La compañía calificó a los incidentes como "actos de vandalismo" y dijo que reabrirá los locales tan pronto como sea seguro.

En Estados Unidos, los consumidores han ventilado su frustración por el derrame con manifestaciones en gasolineras y oficinas corporativas, además de campañas en las páginas online de redes sociales Facebook y Twitter.

BP describió la maniobra como "un acto irresponsable e infantil" que interfirió con los sistemas de seguridad.

Una de las estaciones afectadas sirve para abastecer de combustible a ambulancias, dijo una portavoz de BP, criticando la protesta como "un total desprecio por la seguridad de los motoristas y el personal en las instalaciones".
